Study Abroad Program
Studying abroad is the first step to becoming an international hotelier
Japan Hotel School has an overseas study program that can help students realize their dreams of working in a hotel overseas in the future, or of acquiring language skills that will be useful in foreign hotels. This is a six-month study abroad program where students stay with local families and develop not only their language skills but also their interpersonal skills and international sensibilities.
Characteristics of the study abroad program
Sandwich study abroad between the first and second years
1styear: Before studying abroad
Students will learn the basics of service and gain actual customer service experience through hotel and bridal training. Through classes and training, students will acquire English skills that can be used for reading, writing, and speaking.
Second yearstudying abroad in sandwiches
During the preparation period, students will take special courses on topics such as preparing for life abroad and how to utilize support systems, as well as English language studies. During the study abroad period, classes will be held in 17 different English levels.
3rd year2nd year: After studying abroad
After returning to Japan in April, second-year classes begin, and students improve their skills through specialized subjects and seminars. Unlike studying abroad after graduation, students have the advantage of being able to start job hunting as second-year students.
Stay with a local family during your study abroad
Your host family will welcome you as a member of the family, not as a guest. In your daily life, you may help with household chores and play with small children. By communicating with them as a member of the family, your English conversation skills will naturally improve.
It's okay even if you're not good at English!
At the study abroad destination, students will take English language programs divided into 17 levels. Thanks to the detailed support system, even students who are not good at English can improve their English skills without any stress. In addition, there is a limit on the number of students in a class to prevent bias in nationality, so students can develop their language skills in a careful environment so that they do not gather together with international students from the same country.

Even though you may be thinking about studying abroad, there are many things you don't know. To alleviate these anxieties, there is a study abroad orientation and parent information session in the first year, and a course on basic knowledge of local life just before you leave, so you can travel with peace of mind.
Studying Abroad
In the unlikely event of any trouble, there will be a full-time Japanese staff member on-site, so you can live your life abroad with peace of mind.In addition, even while studying abroad, you can contact the professors in charge of the study abroad program in Japan to receive advice on life abroad, and there is a support system in place.
After returning to Japan
Since job hunting will begin immediately after returning to Japan, you will receive support to help you prepare while studying abroad. In addition, there will be job hunting guidance after returning to Japan, so you can proceed with your job hunting in the most suitable manner.
