Selected to work at "The Okura Tokyo," a company that conveys the beauty of Japan
Daytime Hotel Course
Graduated from Jissen Gakuen High School (Tokyo)
The reason I applied to The Okura Tokyo is because I thought I could provide the service I envision. When I was wondering whether to work for a Japanese hotel or a foreign hotel, I realized from my experience of working as a corporate intern at a Japanese hotel and a foreign hotel that the atmosphere that suited me was that of a Japanese hotel. There are many Japanese hotels, and when I visited several hotels before starting my job search, I was able to imagine myself working at The Okura Tokyo.
Service at the JHS Cup, an in-school qualifying tournament
After attending company information sessions at both the school and the hotel, I submitted an application form as the first round of selection, then went through interviews for the second and third rounds, which led to me receiving a job offer. Practicing interviews with the career guidance teachers at school gave me more confidence than anything else. The support I received from the various teachers helped me in my job search. As someone who aims to work in the food and beverage service industry on stage, participating in the Service Competition and the World Skills Competition while at school was an opportunity to learn about the food and beverage industry as well as acquire skills. And more than anything, I feel that it has broadened my horizons. The guidance from the teachers and practicing with my peers and seniors is a daily inspiring experience that lifts my spirits.
I aim to be a hotelier who can provide comfortable service in the food and beverage industry and have customers remember my face and name.
