Overseas Hotel Internship Program

The Japan Hotel School's overseas hotel internship program allows students to gain experience in a first-class hotel overseas after graduation. Even though you are a trainee, you will receive a salary in this program, so you can have a practical experience. This is an advantageous system for those who want to work in a hotel overseas or for those who want to find employment in a foreign-affiliated hotel.

Overseas Hotels

Overseas Hotels

Many graduates from the Japan Hotel School are active in hotels overseas. There are not many opportunities to work overseas immediately after graduating from a vocational school, but it is possible to give it a try. Also, while some hotels require work experience in the industry, in newly opened hotels, you may be able to be assigned overseas immediately after graduation if you meet certain conditions.

Working in Japan

Foreign-affiliated hotels and city hotels

Foreign-affiliated hotels and city hotels

There are many attractive hotels, such as top-class foreign-affiliated hotels in the city center used by global VIPs and movie stars, large city hotels that host large weddings and banquets, and small luxury hotels that feel like hideaways. In recent years, foreign visitors to Japan often account for more than half of the guests staying at hotels, making it the perfect place to work for people who want to use their English skills.

Resort hotels

Resort hotels

Hotels located near large theme parks, on the seaside or on the plateau are used for family trips and recreational purposes. Many hotels have hotel staff who work together with the local community to provide hospitality, and new types of facilities, such as hotels that allow pets, are on the rise. Another attraction is the opportunity to experience the various pleasures that are unique to Japan.

Ryokan

Ryokan

Ryokans that offer a Japanese cultural experience have become especially popular with foreign guests in recent years. Japanese-style rooms are the norm, but an increasing number of ryokans are providing beds. Dining in the room and hot springs are also popular. Another attraction is the closeness to guests, with the staff serving meals, making and taking out futons, welcoming guests on arrival, and seeing them off on departure.

University Transfer

University Transfer

Graduates of Hotel Course ‐ Classwork by English are awarded the title of "Specialist." This qualifies them to transfer to a university in their third year (or sometimes second year), allowing them to enroll in universities both domestically and internationally. The Japan Hotel School also offers a system for transferring to partner universities in Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, and Australia after graduation. A bachelor's degree is obtained after two (or three) years of study.
