This course will provide a basic understanding of the hotel and bridal industry, with a focus on acquiring basic knowledge of services and general common sense.

theoretical education

●Hotel Operations Theory
You will learn about the flow and characteristics of work in the accommodation department of a hotel, and acquire knowledge that can be used in your practical training.

● Bridal Overview 1
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of basic bridal knowledge in general, including history, customs, wedding ceremony styles, and wedding reception progression and production.

Digital Communication
You will experience marketing methods used in the hotel and wedding industries, laying the groundwork for learning digital marketing.

Practical training

Banquet Service Theory
This is a practical class to learn the basics of service practices in the banquet department. You will learn about roles and fixtures in banquet halls.

●Wedding costume
You will learn the basics of Japanese and Western wedding attire in a comprehensive manner. You will also learn the entire process from reception duties to serving customers.

●Color Coordination
Learn about the basics of color, including color classification, color tone, how color appears and feels, etc. You will also gain knowledge about interior colors in the hotel and bridal related industries.

●Company internship
The first practical training session is part of the introductory training. The main focus is on learning and practicing the job, such as understanding the basic actions of customer service and the duties of the job.

Second half of 1st year 2nd period Basic education period

In addition to acquiring basic knowledge and general common sense, students will also gain practical skills through practical training and hotel training.

●Hotel Overview
This course will provide a basic understanding of the hotel industry, and teach the business flow of each department, including accommodation, food and beverage, and banquets.

● Bridal industry research
You will learn about the trends in the bridal market and major bridal companies. This will also help you understand industry trends before starting your job search.

●Beverage explanation
As part of basic knowledge about beverages, students will learn about ingredients, manufacturing methods, product characteristics, etc.

Practical training

●Restaurant Service Theory
You will learn restaurant service methods and practices from the basics to advanced applications. You will also learn about the role of menus, tableware, linens, and other topics, and develop practical skills that will be useful in your practical training.

● Wedding reception service theory
You will learn about bridal services, which are one of the most important products of hotels and wedding halls. You will also develop practical skills such as the basic customer service actions in banquet halls.

● Social Media Operations
Participants will systematically learn analytical methods for social media marketing by actually creating, operating, and verifying social media accounts.

●Company internship
This is a corporate internship with the aim of acquiring specialized knowledge, understanding the work environment, and cultivating a career perspective. Since classes and internships are alternated, students will set and work towards gradual goals.

2nd year first semester 3rd semester Applied education period

Management-related classes will be introduced, shifting the emphasis from service to understanding operations.

●Front system
You will learn about the main tasks of the front office, such as reservations and reception. You will also gain a deeper understanding by using the PMS system that is actually used at accommodation facilities.

● Bridal Overview 2
You will learn about the current state of the diversifying bridal industry. We will also provide preparation classes for passing the "Intermediate Bridal Basics Examination."

●Hotel Marketing
As the environment surrounding the hotel industry undergoes major changes, students will systematically learn methods such as market research and environmental analysis.

Practical training

●Hospitality Practice Theory
Through practical training, students will acquire advanced restaurant service techniques and knowledge of wine, cocktails, and cheese.

●Flower arrangement
You will come into contact with fresh flowers and, following the instructor's demonstration, create your own arrangement. You will also learn the basics of wedding flower arrangements.

● Comes with Japanese attire
You will learn basic knowledge about kimonos, such as the obi and the names of each part of the kimono, and you will also practice putting on a kimono so that you can wear it yourself.

Second Year 2nd Semester 4th Period Summary

Through two years of study, you will gain a thorough understanding of industry trends and systematically organize your knowledge and experience.

theoretical education

●HMS/HOP Hotel Management and Operation Seminar
Participate in a learning program that simulates hotel management. Learn about the flow of money and gain a deeper understanding of hotel management.

● Social Media Marketing
You will collaborate with companies that use SNS for marketing activities, providing you with an opportunity to put the skills you have acquired into practice.

● Bridal Marketing & Sales
This course provides a comprehensive study of the issues surrounding the bridal industry. You will also gain a basic understanding of sales promotion and effective advertising methods.

Practical training

●Restaurant Management
Participants will have the opportunity to give a presentation on their new restaurant business plan and gain a deeper understanding and knowledge of restaurant management.

● Bridal Seminar
Plan and announce the launch of a new wedding facility. Develop specific services, products, and new plans to attract customers, and create ideas.

●Industry-academia collaborative seminar (Hakama exhibition)
In cooperation with a sponsoring costume company, this is an industry-academia collaboration class in which an exhibition of kimono to be worn at graduation ceremonies is held at the school from a management perspective.

The educational goal of the Japan Hotel School is to provide students with basic knowledge of service, as well as specialized knowledge and skills in hotels and bridal services, so that they can take the first step in their careers by providing service to customers in the hotel or bridal industry. Furthermore, rather than being limited to working in the hotel's accommodation, food and beverage, and banquet departments, the school takes a long-term view of their careers and expands their learning to include the acquisition of management skills such as administration and management, thereby cultivating the ability to play a role as a leader in the hotel or bridal industry.
