Three Policies

Japan Hotel School College has formulated three policies: admissions policy (policy for accepting students), curriculum policy (policy for organizing and implementing the educational course), and diploma policy (policy for graduation certification and awarding degrees).

Japan Hotel Academy, a vocational school, has three policies

Based on the Fundamental Act of Education and the School Education Act, the Japan Hotel School provides a consistent education from service to management in order to realize the spirit of its founding, educational philosophy, and educational goals. It integrates classroom learning with practical skills and practice-based education, and cultivates the specialized knowledge, techniques, skills, and practical abilities required for careers in major fields such as hotel and bridal.

It is an educational institution that cultivates talents who can play a wide range of roles in the hotel industry, international people who can acquire and practice the spirit of hospitality, and people with rich social skills.

Admission Policy

As the only hotel-specialized educational institution established by a hotel in Japan, our founding principle has been to "nurture excellent hoteliers who have acquired the knowledge and skills required in the industry, and contribute to the development of human resource development in the hospitality industry, especially the hotel and bridal industry." Based on the richness of humanity, we strive to develop an educational environment and nurture human resources who can play an active role as future leaders in the international industry. Our mission is to nurture international people who can acquire and practice the spirit of hospitality, which allows them to think and act from the other person's perspective, and who have a rich sociality. To this end, our school seeks students who have the following abilities, motivation, and aptitude:

Common to all subjects

Curriculum Policy "Policy for the organization and implementation of the curriculum"

With the goal of nurturing future mid-level executives in related industries such as hotels, the program integrates educational curriculum with both classroom lessons and practical training over the two-year period, and aims to help students acquire specialized knowledge, techniques and skills.

Throughout all educational activities at the school, we promote "vocational education," which develops the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to engage in specific occupations, and "career education," which encourages career development by cultivating the necessary fundamental abilities and attitudes toward each individual's social and occupational independence. We provide education that helps students understand the meaning, rewards, and achievements of work, deepens their understanding of work, and develops initiative and cooperation, as well as the ability to get things done.

Diploma Policy "Policy for Graduation Certification and Degree Awarding"

In order to achieve our educational goals based on our educational philosophy, students must complete all courses set by the International Hotel Department, Hotel Department, Bridal Department, English Major Department, and Hotel SNS Communication Department, obtain the necessary credits to graduate, and acquire the qualities and abilities suitable for a career as a member of society. Students who are able to put their acquired abilities into practice in the hotel and bridal industries, etc., and who have acquired the knowledge, skills, techniques, spirit, attitude, and qualifications set forth by each department will be certified as graduating.

The daytime International Hotel Studies course at our school awards the title of "specialist" to those who complete it. The three requirements are as follows: Those who have been awarded the title of "specialist" are recognized as having the same academic ability as junior college graduates and are eligible to transfer to a university.

1) The period of study is two years or more
2) Total class hours are 1,700 hours (62 credits) or more
3) Students are assessed through exams and other methods, and completion of the course is certified based on these assessments.

In addition, the daytime International Hotel Studies Department has been certified as a "vocational practice specialized course" by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as a department that works closely with companies and other organizations to provide practical vocational education in which students can acquire the latest practical knowledge, techniques and skills.

The International Hotel Studies evening course does not qualify as a "specialist" or "professional practice course" mainly due to the total number of class hours over two years. However, the course offers educational activities equivalent to those of the daytime course in terms of educational content and courses taken, and students who have acquired specialized knowledge and skills will be granted graduation.
