About Japan Hotel School

Japan Hotel School, the only "vocational school created by a hotel" in Japan, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2021.
While cherishing our 50+ years of history, we continue to think about how to develop flexible human resources and provide an environment where all students can learn with peace of mind. We want to be a school that is close to our students and the future of the industry, and continues to run together with them.
We will continue to support everyone who aims to work in the hotel and bridal industry.

educational philosophy

The educational philosophy of Japan Hotel School is to cultivate individuals whose actions are based on a spirit of hospitality.
Our mission is not just to develop students who have excellent grades and athletic ability, but also to develop students who are considerate of others' feelings and who have the proper grooming and manners for a working adult, and to send them out into the industry.

1. Cultivating people who respect courtesy and good manners
We position the four items of "greetings," "language," "grooming," and "attitude" as the basis of discipline and etiquette education, and all teaching staff provide appropriate instruction. By cultivating politeness in daily life, discipline, and moderation at the same time, we achieve our goal of developing the human resources required by the hospitality industry and nurturing members of society who are aware of social common sense.

1. Acquiring and practicing the spirit of hospitality
At the Japan Hotel School, we define "hospitality" as "thinking and acting from the other person's point of view." In general, hospitality means "compassion," "kindness," and "heartfelt hospitality." For those involved in the hotel, bridal, and restaurant industries, we believe it is important to provide service filled with a hospitable spirit and to know how to embody the spirit of hospitality, which is the basis of customer service.

1. Creating services by integrating theory and practice
In order to integrate theory and practical skills, we have created a unique system that places equal weight on lectures, school events, corporate training, and overseas study trips. In the daytime division, classes/lectures (theory) and corporate training (practical skills) are alternated from the middle of the first year to the middle of the second year, aiming to integrate the two. In the nighttime division, there are training periods in the winter and summer where students can put what they have learned in lectures into practice.

1. Cultivating individuals with an international perspective
We hope to broaden students' international perspectives through opportunities such as learning foreign languages, living together with international students, interacting with foreign instructors, and interacting with overseas customers during corporate internships. In principle, all students (daytime students only) are required to participate in the "overseas training trip," which is offered as an opportunity to put the knowledge they have acquired into practice. In addition, we are working to increase opportunities to travel overseas by expanding the "study abroad program" and the "overseas hotel internship program" after graduation, and to develop global human resources with an international perspective.

1. Nurturing individuals who can contribute widely to society
We want to foster people who can contribute to society as a whole, not just to the specific field of the hotel industry. Our philosophy is to foster people who can act with a spirit of hospitality. Our mission is to foster people who can contribute globally, not just to academic achievement and athletic ability, but also to the ability to think from other people's perspectives and acquire common sense, grooming, and manners as a member of society.
