Born in Kumamoto Prefecture, he graduated from high school and moved to Tokyo to enroll in the Japan Hotel School.
After graduating, he was involved in the launch of BAR2000, the main bar at the Tokyo Dome Hotel, which opened in 2000. After that, he was invited by a customer to work as a bartender at Kien in Kagurazaka, where he was the manager for 10 years. There, he obtained a cigar manager qualification. In 2008, he established his own company, Vino Japan Co., Ltd., and works as a consultant for bars and restaurants in Mejiro and Mejirodai, as well as teaching at a hotel school. In 2011, he established Bar LIBRE in Ikebukuro.
