I was able to experience Canadian sports and food culture.
Daytime English Course
Graduated from Chiba Prefectural Narita International High School (Chiba Prefecture)
I've been studying abroad for two months now, and I'm getting used to life here. At school, we have two to three classes a day (each class is two hours long), but we have a lot of homework, so my friends and I are busy with it on weekdays.
A day off with friends at a cafe in Vancouver
Recently, as part of a workshop class, we went to a museum near the school and learned about the history of lacrosse, which is popular in Canada. We were given the special privilege of being allowed to take a photo holding a lacrosse stick that was actually used in the past, and were able to experience the sports culture in Canada.
Also, when I have time on my days off, I often go to downtown Vancouver. The other day, I tried poutine, a traditional Canadian dish, for the first time. Poutine is a fast food-like dish of French fries topped with gravy and cheese, but it was packed with cheese and was very delicious.
On my days off, I often go downtown with my friends who are studying Japanese at school. We all go to cafes and chat, and have a very fulfilling time.
