Career choices for first and second year high school students

Many first and second year high school students may not yet have an idea of their future career path. Check this page to see if the Japan Hotel School is right for you. We especially recommend this school to those who "want to make people happy" and "enjoy talking to people."
How to choose your career path

What kind of work is suitable for you?
Take a look at your personality, personality type, values, etc., and then think about what kind of job you want to do. If you can't decide on your own, try talking to your teachers or parents.
When should I start?

About 40% of students leave before they reach third grade.
Participate in the open campus
(The first time I participated in our school's open campus)

What if you are interested in hotels and bridal services?
If you find a job or department that interests you, try participating in an open campus event. You can gain a deeper understanding of the job through classes where you can experience working in a hotel, wedding, or restaurant. If the timing is right, we also recommend attending a special event.

Learn the difference between vocational school and university learning
If you are unsure whether to go to a university or a vocational school, think about what you want to do in the industry in the future. If you like interacting with people and want to build a career in customer service, aiming to become a professional or manager in the field, then our school may be a good fit for you.
The process of deciding on your career path
STEP1
Gain a deeper understanding of hotel and bridal work
Participate in an open campus where you can experience different jobs and expand your image of the career you want to pursue in the future. We also recommend the experience festival for first and second year high school students, which is held at the hotel several times a year.
STEP2
Participate in special events and experience the real thing
In the spring and summer schools, you can experience both school and hotel/bridal work. If you are having trouble choosing your career path, you can have your worries and doubts resolved through individual consultations (visiting the school).
STEP3
Check out the school curriculum, employment record and support for further education
At many schools, it is time to decide on your future path and direction after three-way interviews, etc. Clear your doubts and clarify your future path through open campuses, weekday school information sessions that you can attend after school (from 18:30), and individual consultations (visiting the school).
STEP4
Final checks before applying
The special summer vacation event "Summer School" will have you experience classes at a school on the first day, and deepen your understanding of the industry at a first-class hotel on the second day. Friends aiming to work in hotels and weddings from all over the country will gather. Also, if you are thinking about living alone, be sure to check out the AO preparation course, scholarship program, and JHS student hall tour.
STEP5
Now it's time for application and admission selection
Applications are accepted online. There are a variety of selection methods, including AO admission, designated school recommendation, school recommendation, self-recommendation, and general admission. As the number of students may reach capacity early, we recommend that you apply early.
